I have this problem on facebook of people adding me to their friends list - people who DON'T know me. I'm selective about my friends list (now). If I don't know you, you're not getting in.
I had a friend who I didn't know but I accepted her friend invite b/c I was new there and well I don't know really why I accepted. We have 46 mutual friends so she must think that means we should be friends. We were in Turbo together but I only knew that b/c I recognized her picture. Still she never talked to me in class (we have 3 of our 46 mutual FB friends in this class).
Around Thanksgiving I wrote this thing on my wall asking what everyone was thankful for and that I know you all are going to mention family, friends etc and so on so let's say something we're thankful for outside of the normal things that we are ALL thankful for.
So this chick writes "family, friends, Jesus, and *church*! Can't help but mention that. sorry to break the rules....."
I de-friended her. She broke the rules, she's gone.
I wasn't sad about it, apparently neither was she, she still doesn't talk to me in Turbo.
So I've gone through my friends list and de-friended several people that were more friends of friends than MY actual friend.
It just got me thinking about it this morning when I had a friend request from someone I didn't know. He is friends with my sister so I asked her who he was. She thought he was someone else so she de-friended him. I denied him. Life is good.
Another chick asked to be my friend b/c *I assume* she's friends with my other sister. I asked my sis "do I know her and just don't remember?" she said "no she probably is just inviting you to be her friend b/c she and I are friends." She and I have 57 friends in common.
You would think that I would know these people having that many friends in common. I don't. Denied.
I love power.

that's too funny. i've defriended so many people. i just had a friend request today and didn't even know the guy. i think he went to fbc b/c that's who he's mutual friends with. denied!
you should've defriended all these people after you downloaded the burger king application. you could've gotten a free wopper for defriending 10 people.
I was kinda that way with the friends list on JS. I had lots on my faves list but very few on the friends list.
Friend should mean something.

I have been thinking of doing away with FB actually. Too many people I knew long ago have been makin' friends of me, and tbh, I don't need the hassle. There are some good things about living far from family, but when people add you to FB who live practically next door to your grandmother...well. She doesn't need to know EVERYTHING!
I know nothing about Facebook, so I can offer no comment. However, back in our JS days I had many requests to be friends, but several I'd never even heard of. I used my "denied" button, too. :)

Ha Ha!!! This made me laugh. I don't like requests from people I don't know either. I don't like that my whole name is used at facebook. I may just close up shop there. I don't know... Have a good one...

I am a freak about who I add. I feel so bad denying people I "sort of" know, but I have some personal info on my Facebook that not just anyone needs know!

I'm on Facebook but rarely use it. It doesn't have enough bells and whistles and pretty colors to entertain my small mind. Ha!
I only have people I know on my friends list at facebook. Either I know them from JS or in real life.
