very very cold out. "They" (they being the weather people who are rarely correct except those weather persons in San Diego in which hey! how hard is it to say "sunny" for the whole week) ok, so they said last night we were to see wind chills of -25. Today is a high of 6ยบ and sunny - whooeeeiii put on your bikini chicky pies.
One wouldn't normally know how cold it was since one is usually sleeping in the middle of the night except for my neighbors. Yep, the neighbors kids were outside sled riding. I rolled over in bed and said to Ryan "I miss the days where the negative numbers didn't keep me indoors" he replied "yea we're getting old" eh. I don't know, it was pretty cozy in my bed. I'm glad I'm not out in that miserable cold except, wait, I was out in it. Yes, Lucy woke me up at 3:50am to let me know she wanted to go outside too. dang dog. Grumbling the whole way downstairs that she wasn't going to like being out there, I did indeed let her go out and do her thing. She didn't like it out there, didn't want her paws on the cold snow. Luckily she did her thing quickly. Unlucky for me, I was now wide awake.
I thought Ryan said he had to be up at 4am so I'm laying there wondering why his alarm hadn't gone off... should I wake him or wait to see if his alarm goes off. He didn't sleep well, tossing and turning all night (driving me crazy!) Finally after about 20 minutes I said "did you set your alarm? i thought you had to be up at 4?"
"yes" - he says. Yes. Now how does one yes answer 2 opposing questions.
Yes I have to be up at 4 or Yes I set my alarm.
I tried to go back to sleep thinking it wouldn't be a big deal if he was late but actually today is a long busy day for him and I knew he had to be there on time. So I'm wide awake. Debating in my head... wake him. don't wake him. wake him. nah. sigh.
Finally he stirs and says to himself "did I set my alarm?" whew I can go back to sleep now. 5 minutes later his alarm goes off. he hit snooze like 5 times. So basically I have been awake since 4am. I'm not to cranky yet but I'm supposed to hang out with my friend Beth tonight. I hope I make it, I'm a wuss without sleep.

It is freaking cold! We went to get groceries last night and when I walked outside it actually hurt to take the first breath!
I'm finding that sleep is a luxury that I can't seem to afford. Hope you get a second wind!

Can I brag and say it's 44 and sunny and we'll gain another 10 degrees before the day's over?

I didn't sleep well last night either and ended up getting up early after about 4 hours of restless broken sleep. I put away all of the clean dishes, started some laundry, drank two latte-size cups of coffee . . . and went back to bed for 3 hours!
