It's slightly after 10

Well, I am slowly accomplishing my goals. I had to go back and read what I wrote for my New Year's Resolutions. They made me giggle! Truth is, I do have several things on my resolution list.
1. go down just one more pants size, I'm so close
2. drink less coffee
3. let my hair grow
4. I've pondered being certified to teach a certain class at our gym
5. to actually send out birthday cards on time
Well, here's the update: 1. Accomplished and then some. I've actually gone down another pants size. Two to three sizes, depending on the maker of the jeans/pants. 2. Uh, I don't think that lasted more than a week. I have cut way back on the sugar in my coffee though. Before I was only putting 2 cubes in but now I use Stevia. 3. Still doing this. I think longer hair is to much for my face, now that I'm thinner but I love the ease of pulling it back when I run. 4. Still pondering. I'd love to do it but it's the timing of the classes vs how long I'm able to be at the gym along with, I don't go to the gym in the evenings very much. 5. haha! well, I'm at about 50% on this one. So my running is still going strong. I'm consistently at a 10 min mile now. I ran our Run for Home - the relay portion, 2nd leg, 4.5 miles in 44:36. Had to walk twice and I was pretty dehydrated but valuable lessons learned. I ran the Flying Pig 5k with my brother-in-law at a 9:24 min/mile. I finished in 29:09. It felt great. Soon I'll be beating that. I've signed up for the Football Hall of Fame 5 mile race in July. I have 3 more races that I'm contemplating on doing. A Pump and Run (5k) in June, the Swiss Fest (10k possibly this year if they add it) in October, and another 5 miler in July - though it's 2 weeks before my Hall of Fame race so we'll see. I'm seriously considering training for a half-marathon that's in October. My running coach thinks it's something we should look at but I'm hesitant - mostly b/c of the confidence yet. I am loving running. Since last August, I've lost a total of 35 lbs. I need to add up my inches.... but it has to be huge. I still enjoy my wings, beer, pizza and ice-cream just in moderation now and not every day :) I'm ready to start my vegetable garden either this Saturday or next. We'll see what the weather holds. Life is good and it's been a long time since I've wrote, so there is my update. Hope life is treating everyone well!!
