Update to my New Year's Resolutions.

Well, like always, it's been awhile since I've wrote. Life is good. Busy. Happy. Constant. Reread my New Year's resolutions.

  ...resolution list.
1. go down just one more pants size, I'm so close
2. drink less coffee
3. let my hair grow
4. I've pondered being certified to teach a certain class at our gym
5. to actually send out birthday cards on time

 UPDATE:
1. I've actually lost several pant sizes, even lose one more since my last update. I'm content now where I am. I'm not skin and bones but it's evident that I have lost quite a bit of weight since last year. People ask me what I've done. Exercise and Calories in vs calories out.

 2. Ha! I still drink it.

 3. My hair is getting long. I'll probably be cutting it the first of the year. Maybe I'll have enough for Locks of Love or a project of that sort.

 4. I decided to hold off on that for now. I'm just to busy and the timing wouldn't work out for when they have the class and when I could teach but the option is always there for me.

 5. I think I was 50/50 on this for the year. haha! I have been running still. I'm still loving it. I ran three 5k's this year. Got first in my age group in 2 of them. I did a Pump and Run: where you bench 1/2 your weight and for every rep they take 10 sec off your 5k time. I ran it in 27 min and did 17 reps so that was a great day for me. Ran 2 10k's, got 1st in my age group in one of them. Ran a 5 mile run and a half marathon relay. I have 2 more 5k's on the books, the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving and the Red Nosed Run in December. Honestly, I never thought I'd be doing this let alone enjoying it so much. I'm still consistently running 3-4 times a week, lifting twice a week and then another cardio once along with my rest day :) I'm maintaining my weight and I'm happy about that. I've gained muscle that I'm pretty proud of.

I'm just proud of myself for sticking to this. It's been a hard year. My aunt died and then two weeks later my husband's grandpa died. It's been an emotional year. A year of reflection. I've gained new friends and I've distanced myself from old.

I had my 20th class reunion this year and it was great to see some people that I haven't seen in a long time. We got to tour our old high school and oh man, the memories shared. Makes me smile. I loved high school. At any rate, that's the update, the short and sweet of it anyways. I hope I have more of a Resolution list come January, or at least a better one. haha!

^ My pump and run 1st place (in my age group). My "coach" in the middle getting 2nd place overall and another friend on the left winning 1st in her age group.
